What data is collected

With your explicit consent — asked the first time you open the app, and withdrawable at any time from Settings → Privacy — Audia uses Firebase (Analytics, and Remote Config / A/B Testing) to understand how the app is used and, occasionally, to try out different versions of a feature with different users:

• Which screens you visit, and how much time you spend on each one.
• Which buttons and features you use (playing, searching, purchasing).
• Which variant of an experiment (A/B test) you've been assigned to, if any is running at the time — for example, trying out two different behaviors for what happens when the free plan's daily listening limit is reached.
• A small number of app-level attributes tied to your anonymous identifier — your current plan and your preferred reading language — used to break down the data above by segment.
• An anonymous, per‑install identifier generated by Firebase, which does not identify a person.

Audia does not collect your name, email, or any other personally identifiable data. Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) is never used either — the app never requests it, so no App Tracking Transparency prompt appears when you open the app.

Who it's shared with

Data is processed by Google Ireland Limited, via Google Analytics and Firebase Remote Config, acting as data processor. It is not sold, not shared with third parties for advertising purposes, and not shared with any other service.

Legal basis and consent

Processing is based on your explicit consent. You can grant or withdraw it at any time from Settings → Privacy → "Share usage data" inside the app — this single toggle covers both Analytics and Remote Config / A/B Testing; there is no separate consent step for experiments. Withdrawing it does not affect how Audia works — the app functions identically with or without analytics, and always falls back to its default (non-experimental) behavior.

How long data is kept

Event, experiment, and profile-attribute data is retained according to Google Analytics 4's standard retention settings, after which it is automatically deleted.
